Research has shown that those who can be resistant to formal therapy may be more accessible by an experiential mode of treatment. Because the client is focused on the horses and the activity at hand, he/she tends to be unguarded and genuine. Through the activities, the clients have the opportunity to not only see their patterns, but to then experience success and what it feels like to use a different pattern.
